Eng 4197 participation

FOR THE CLASS: Choose one of the questions listed below. Type an answer of no less than 100 words, and feel free to be as casual as you would be speaking in class. List your name and email address, and type your answer in the message section of the form. Your answer will be emailed to Professor Newman and myself, and it is how you will show you looked at the site and engaged with the material in some way.

FOR THE PRESENTATION RESPONDENT:  You do not have to respond to a question, although you can if you find one interesting! You can paste your response in the form and submit it that way, but I would suggest typing it in Microsoft Word or whatever word processor first, as I don't know if the form would allow 3-5 double spaced pages worth of text.

QUESTION #1: The American Poetry Review received both versions of Ross Gay's poem involving the dog but chose to only publish the one in which the dog isn't killed. Why do you think they chose that poem over the other?

QUESTION #2: Which version of the poem do you like better? Why?

QUESTION #3: What type of textual mapping do you find most interesting? Political, physical, emotional?

QUESTION #4: What text from the syllabus does Ross Gay's poetry remind you of? Compare or contrast.

Success! Message received.
